brief bio

Dr. Casper Darling is the head of the Research Division of the Federal Bureau of Control, a government agency dedicated to the containment, study, and control of paranatural phenomena. Darling is very gung-ho about his job, always ready and willing to explain aspects of the supernatural via a fun little video presentation! He's charming, absent-minded, a bit goofy, and generally seems like a swell guy to talk with. He also has a remarkable lack of concern for human life (people occasionally die in Research Division. That sucks, but it's part of their line of work!).

This lack of concern extends to Dylan Faden, a child that the Federal Bureau of Control basically kidnapped. It was Darling's job to help train Dylan in his supernatural abilities, with the hopes that Dylan would one day rise to the position of Bureau Director. Instead, Dylan killed a few people, got dropped like a hot potato by the FBC, and ended up shoved in a cell for probably close to a decade. Whoops.

The lack of concern also extends to Darling himself, a man who when encountering a weird type of resonance, decides that one of the best ways to figure out what it does is to expose himself to it. Good choices all around!
